The John Deere 112 is a garden tractor model from the 100 series, manufactured from 1966 to 1974 by John Deere in Horicon, Wisconsin, USA. It was available in a two-wheel drive (2WD) version.
THe JD 112 used a gear type with variable pulley drive transmission with 4 forward and 1 reverse gear, manual steering, and an open operator station.
The John Deere 112 is equipped with one of three engines:
- The Tecumseh HH100 (it was an original engine and used for the JD 112 through 1972): a 289 cc (23.7 cu·in) single-cylinder gasoline engine with 84.0 mm (3.31 in) of the cylinder bore and 70.0 mm (2.76 in) of the piston stroke. This engine produced 10.2 PS (7.5 kW; 10.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower.
- The Kohler K241AS (was introduced in 1969 as an optional engine): a 391 L (23.9 cu·in) single-cylinder gasoline engine with 82.6 mm (3.25 in) of the cylinder bore and 73.0 mm (2.87 in) of the piston stroke. This engine produced 10.2 PS (7.5 kW; 10.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower.
- The Kohler K301AS (was introduced in 1972 and used until 1974): a 476 L (29.0 cu·in) single-cylinder gasoline engine with 85.7 mm (3.37 in) of the cylinder bore and 82.6 mm (3.25 in) of the piston stroke. This engine produced 12.2 PS (9.0 kW; 12.0 HP) rpm of horsepower.
